The Interview:

How many cities and countries have you travelled to? Do list the names out.
I have been travelling for 12 years as a blogger and I have done 30 Countries till date and 90% of India as well. My travel details are listed below:

China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, Thailand, USA, UK,
Scotland, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Mauritius, Australia, Philippines, Taiwan, Austria, Bhutan, Germany, Nepal, Vietnam, Maldives, Germany, Nepal, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Netherlands, Egypt, Oman.

Which has been the most memorable travel vacation? What made it special?
My favourite country would be Maldives. I have been there twice in 2019 and had my honeymoon there since it has been my favourite destination. I have always been a water boy and beach lover. The pristine blue waters and white sand beaches coupled with the unparalleled hospitality experience that make it very special. Water villa is my favourite type of stay where you can jump into the sea from your room itself.

What are the 5 spots one must visit at your memorable travel destination?
I generally travel for the journey experience rather than the destination itself. If I have to shortlist 5 things to do in Maldives, i would say:
·       Snorkelling
·       Scuba diving
·       Water sports
·       Island hopping
·       Pampering yourself with some amazing spa therapies

5 tips to travel smart and save on money.
Though i am more of a luxury travel blogger, i do try to get the best experiences at an economical value. I generally keep looking out for deals and sales that airlines offer or some last moment discounts by websites such as booking.com where if i book stay same day after 4-6 pm, I get 30-50% discount at times.

Now with the Corona virus outbreak, which travel spots do you regret not having visited?
I haven't explored much of Europe and it has been on my bucket list for doing a 3 months Euro trip. I am certain the manner in which people will travel will change forever post the corona travel outbreak. I regret not doing my Euro trip earlier. But, once things get better, I shall plan and schedule my trip to perfection.

Your viewpoints (safe, unsafe, safety measures) about the future of travel post this pandemic.
The future of travel will have many health and hygiene related measures put in place. I presume that social distancing will be the norm in any place across the globe. So, be it the airport, a restaurant or a monument, social distance will have to be maintained till the vaccine has been discovered. If you are travelling since it is urgent, make sure your hands are sanitized every time you touch something. Also contactless experience at all places and mask is a mandatory.

Being a travel blogger, writer, photographer and YouTuber, how do you plan your trip?
I generally plan trips quite meticulously for any kind of travel, be it a project, a FAM trip or personal trips.  I make an excel sheet of all the places (day-wise) that I intend to visit and the distance that it takes to travel from my hotel to location. I prefer having a pleasant travel experience.
Being a travel blogger, I always look at creating content in a unique way, with different angles - be it video or photo that can be useful for my readers when they plan the travel. The intention is always to offer seamless options to my readers of what to expect in the best possible way. I always like to document my journey with the minute details so that it’s easy for anyone to follow.

Do you make money as a travel blogger? What are the other ways to make money being a travel writer?
Well, since I have been blogging for 12 years, it’s been 5 years (full time) I travel for a living, I have been working and collaborating with brands and tourism boards to help them create and curate travel content and get paid for the content. I also do brand promotions on my social media platforms.

Is there a future as a travel blogger?
There is always a dearth for good quality and niche content creators. Brands are always looking for such people, so building a niche in travel content is very important. Other ways of making money is monetizing your blog using advertisements and also monetisation on YouTube as well. Affiliate marketing is another way of making money for bloggers.
